Wedding Stuff
I will tell you the benefit of small family and a casual small wedding, No drama, no crisis!
The biggest crisis I can think of was that the one of the three fantastic tasting cakes had white filling between the layers instead of chocolate. oooooo the panic, NOT!
The weather was picture perfect. Sunny with white whispy clouds and a breeze that would blow through when it got too hot. I thank my sister for that because I've always said she could control the weather. It's never bad weather when she has plans to be outside.
Between the cell phones & cameras and the actual photographer there are already a hundred pictures up on facebook and I added all of my crowd shots to Google+ so I won't do that again here. But here are three that I loved and I'll try not to add to many more over the next week.
Let's call this two rows and start from the left. Grooms Family. Front - Grandmother, Mother (wearing a purple dress that turned out to be the same dress as me 'cept I bought mine in yellow) nephew, niece, sister, bride. Me, my sister, my two nieces. Back row left: Grooms father, stepfather holding a nephew, sister-in-law, nephew being held by grooms Brother, Groom. My son, my Husband, my stepfather.
My step-brother Tony was the official photographer of record and he's uploaded a few pictures to Facebook for us. This is what the actual ceremony looked like. It was short, sweet and lovely. And here is one that I'm sure everyone who knows Jason & Katy will agree is fitting for them. Outside, laughing and with the dog! Barsky was not at the wedding. Katy went and got him after a couple of hours. The ceremony and reception was one short block from their home so there was a lot of running back and forth beforehand. As guests started arriving I was still in my shorts & tennies.
It really was a beautiful day, the only sadness is in the people that weren't there to celebrate with us.

Also the tragic lack of a suit for the dog.
I loved the pic of Katy and Barsky at the reception but this is a really good one too of the little family of 3
Corey posted one this morning of them laughing together after the marriage. I loved that one. My Katy loves the green also...she used the color in her wedding. Small weddings are the best ... of course I"ve already elaborated in my blog this week hahahaha.
I totally love that Barsky was there!
Well, now you have another son. Congratulations!!
@chaosconfetti - hahahahaha..or at least a "bow".
@Ninasusan -Thankfully Corey forgot his camera or I swear everyone on facebook would have unfriended us for the amount of pictures we posted.
@chaosconfetti - How's the hangover - from the pollen!!? I've taken so much allergy stuff today to unstuff my nose and de-red my eyes.
Love those pics! Sounds like a perfect wedding. Also loved the one pic I saw on fb of your daughter with her red sneakers on. I'll be going back there later to check out the rest of your pics. Simplicity in a wedding, nothing better! I'm glad you had great weather for it!! Your ppl look like a lot of fun!
In California it is not unusual for a man to have long hair. It is interesting they both wear glasses and are not being "vain". The wedding looked pretty cozy and it probably was easy to arrange. It looked pretty warm and I think the groom wanted to take his jacket off.
I've given up on breathing. My eyes are bloodshot and sticky, I look like I'm drunk from allergies
One of my favorite pics was of Katy (with her red Converse shoes on) and Sean (with a big, beautiful smile). The one you have posted here of Katy, Jason and Barsky is wonderful.
I never take enough or sometimes any pictures, I love that you and Corey, especially Corey, take so many pictures. When we were out in Chicago that night, he would stop and take pictures, so we would stop. Often that made me stop and be more aware of the cool things around us.
I love the internet and technology. I loved seeing all the pictures so quickly.
I hope everyone is recovering from their allergies.
Great pictures! This is how weddings should be. I don't remember having any stress when I got married. I don't like a lot of hoopla. After my son's wedding, my girls are vowing their weddings will be on the beach. I'm all for that!
I like small weddings, the best kine. Your new camera is capturing a lot of nice memories.
Looks like a great day...such a beautiful family
Aw this looks like such a relaxed and happy wedding.
And less expense.
So pretty! I just love that last photo! I've read enough of your posts and seen pictures to know that last one is very fitting! It looks like it was just lovely! So glad you had nice weather for it. Funny that you had the same dress. Glad they weren't the same color.
@GrannyHappyNanny - That would have been funny! I still think we should now switch dresses. I think we're the same size. I loved the purple.
Very beautiful! I love her dress and how it matches him! My fave is the last!
@Jst4e - Thank you! I think it's funny how perfectly the color matches the grass!
