Vacation Plans
This is the route we will take on our tip in May.
We will fly into Los Angeles and then drive up the Pacific Coast Highway (PCH) to Santa Barbara and stay the night there. The next day we will drive to Carmel for the night (Monterey on this map)
Then the next day onto San Francisco. We will stay in San Francisco for five days and then fly home from there. I am trying to remember all of the things my Facebook Friend has said over the years that I should not say or do while in San Francisco. For instance you are not, under any circumstances allowed to say San Fran. As if I would!

I'm excited for you. I am sure you can't wait for your hubby to come home from his latest expedition.
Would love to be on that trip with you.
Looks like a great trip. I bet you cant wait! I loved San Fran (but I hate seeing the moon disappear on so many foggy night)! Hubby, son and I went for our 25th wedding anniversary! Dont forget to grab up some chocolate!
I want to go!!! I'm lookin forward to daily reviews!!!!! and pictures.
Hi Tracy. Wow, what a great trip you have planned. It should be fun. And the weather is fantastic in California.
We went to San Francisco for our honeymoon in 1988. Well, we started at Modesto at my dad's house, then drove to SF. We spent a few days in SF. What a town. Then we drove the coast south to Carmel By The Sea and stayed a few nights in that lovely town. From there we ventured to Monterey. It was the vacation of a lifetime. There was so much to see and do. I predict you guys are going to love it in CA.
I see on your map you are going to be driving through the town where my sister lives, Paso Robles. That is wine country, and I hope you guys get to stop and visit a few wineries.
Do you shop for trinkets when you are vacationing? I always buy a gold charm to add to my charm bracelet from the places I visit.
I'm glad you are healthy and enjoying life. Yay. It's been a rough road for you. You ROCK, MIssTracy.
@skanickadee - yes, i did. But I'm not. I keep saying Maui when I mean Malibu!
@tracy -
Malibu sounds really wonderful, too! Have fun!
wow, exciting!
@GoneRetired - Chocolate grabbing is almost always on the agenda!
@TNuts - I always look for something that can be useful to remind me of a good trip. I use to buy more things but I've gotten to the point where I just can't buy anything that I can't eat, wear or in some be useful.
Sounds like you're trip was the exact opposite of ours. I've talked to other people who have done your version. I guess we're just backwards.
