HEY!
Look the Xanga Servers are still up and running!
I wouldn't have known except someone just tried to get in my account.
When I wandered over here this caught my attention:
Can you imagine? I was on Xanga for so long I received almost 23000 comments. If my public blog received that many I would be rolling in advertising dollars!
Anyway... back to my other home now.
Good to touch base with you Xanga. -
Hey I am still around!
Still hanging out at my own domain:
http://www.isanybodyhere.com
I miss you Xanga people that got lost.

Enter Here...
Good Afternoon Xanga,
How are you today? I can't help but notice that my page is all wacky. Borders missing, colors a little different. Perhaps I should take the time to fix it. Perhaps not.
Blogging is such a weird thing these days.
Nope, that's all I have to say.

Testing Comments
Trying to turn off moderate comments, can someone check and see if I've succeeded?
Thanks!

Archiving your Xanga
I'm getting a lot of traffic to this post so I wanted to update the time stamp and pop it to the top of the list in case YOU still haven't grabbed your archive.
Don't forget, you can find me here:
http://thelpme.livejournal.com
If you need a little help archiving:
On the top right side of your screen you should see your user name, click it,then click Settings.
Now on the left hand side of the screen you should see a long menu. Towards the bottom - click on Xanga Archives
Click the button that says UPDATE YOUR ARCHIVES. This may take a couple of hours. Come back later.
Once it's done it should look like the image below.
|Click on the Archive.zip file and save it to your computer.
You should be able to download anything that says *.zip.

Archiving your Xanga Part 2
This is a little trickier because it depends on what browser you're using, and what settings are on your computer. I can only show you what it looks like on mine and hope it's enough.
This is what it looks like in Internet Explorer on a Windows 7 Machine.
When I click on the archive.zip file
A box opens on the bottom of my screen asking me if I want to open or save or cancel. I choose the arrow next to Save.
And I do a Save AS - then I choose a place to save my folder, I chose my desktop.
This is what the file looks like on my desktop. Now I will right click on it with my mouse and the menu that pops up should have a command that reads Extract All. You may also try double left clicking. This may automatically use the Extract All command on your computer. It will then ask you where you want to extract all of the files to. I left mine at default and it created all of the files inside of a folder called Archive.
This is what should now show up in your folder. Each of these links is a file full of my blogs for that month/year. When I double click it will open in my browser so I can view them.
